They are making a spit with a pig for everyone to eat. There was a lot of smoke. Tongan culture is very similar to Samoan culture.

Rain Poem
Rain Poem
I see Little rain droplets on my windows.
I hear the rain falling, making puddles and my sister snoring.
I taste nothing but my own saliva, I smell my dads fried eggs I'm not really a fan of eggs. I feel as cold as an Ice cube
My heater in my room is warm and comforting, My hands and brain feel tired from doing school work.

The pencil writing
The Cheap Tiny Sized Striped Pencil
The pencil was cheap looking, It had black stripes and was as small as my pinky. It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough to make someone bleed by poking them. Pretend drumsticks have made it scrape the top of the pencil and create sounds. Teeth marks at the top from someone that was hungry has bitten through the pencil. The bright red pencil is now broken and ugly. My trusty old instrument still works and writes and it still does a trick!

Umu Writing
Umu writing
First gather rocks from the rivers or coastline,
Secondly start a fire. Then place taro first,
because it takes a long time to cook. On top of the taro place some bananas,
next put some palusami,
finally put some fish. Then place banana leaves on top of that.
To stop the steam stomp on the edges of the fire.
Leave it to cook for 30 to an 1 hour.
While you're waiting,
make baskets out of banana leaves so you can put the umu in.
Finally once the umu is finished cooking put some food in the baskets,
and share some food with your family, neighbor and friends.

Pepper Experiment
First we had bowls of water.
Then Mr.Sok put pepper on the water the pepper floated.
if you want to do this you need:
1. Bowl
2.Water
3.detergent
When you put your hand in the detergent the pepper goes to
each side of the bowl.
It was super cool and fun!

Summer learning journey
Week one: the beginning
Maui and the big fish
These are the facts I learnt from Maui
1. His brothers never let him fish.
2. He follows his dreams and never gives up.
3. Maui got a jawbone from his ancestor Muri Ranga Whenua
Another story I’ve heard about Maui is called how Maui Slowed
The Sun.

GTS Identity poem
I see a crowd of loud children on the playground.
I hear kids screaming and yelling across the rooms.
I taste my delicious lunch.
I smell the fresh cut grass.
I feel a red rubber ball in my hands.
Attending GTS makes me feel amazing because GTS is the greatest school!
