Nutrition

Today I learnt about foods and calcium, fibre, protein, carbohydrates, and iron.

Calcium makes your bones stronger and its in milk.
Fibre makes you poo and not be constipated.
Carbohydrates and iron makes you have more energy.

Isabella told us to get in groups of five and do something. We played in a group of five and put foods under Sometimes, Grain foods, Milk+Milk products, Fruit+veg and another one.

Things not to with most of the time is:
Oil / fat
Sugar
Salt.

Little Bo Peep's farm

Rm 6 went to Bo Peep's farm, we learn about the characteristics of the animals. We got to feed some of the animals like the goat, the sheep and the llamas. My favourite animal there was the goat, the horns were cool and it was soft. The eyes of the goat were really cool too! The Llamas were black and white.
There was a donkey, pony, bunny, and baby alpaca/llama if I remember. We asked the woman who takes care of them questions at the end.

Showing Integrity

 Integrity

It looks like doing the right thing a the right time.

At school, integrity looks like picking rubbish even if it isn't yours.

  • Bringing your chrome book at school charged, and being clean.
  • Listening to your teacher.
  • picking others up.
  • Filling others buckets.
  • Not lying to your teacher.
  • Not eating lollies during class
  • Not doing something for others but yourself.

At home integrity looks like not talking back to your parents.
    • Trusting your family members. (except if they do family harm or abuse)
    • Doing the right thing when parents tell you to do something
    • Helping your siblings if they are stuck on work
    • Being honest with your parents if they catch you doing something.
    • Cheer them up whenever they are in the blue zone or is gloomy
