Persuasive Wrtiting

In my opinion, fun is doing what you enjoy like playing with your friends. Participating, for example, in games like sports.  I believe integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking by respecting property when you’re in uniform and out of school when no one is watching over you.  I am certain that respect is listening when the teacher is talking. Not talking back to your parents, and not damaging property at school, outside of school, or at home. I feel that excellence is achieving things and trying your best by never giving up.

I know for a fact that achievement is achieving your goals, doing something that you have never done before and doing things that you tried your hardest at. We all agree that confidence is like speaking at assembly, speaking up during class. Answering questions even if you're wrong, and being Social and interacting with people. I know that enjoyment is having fun, doing new stuff while smiling and laughing. Including others in games, and doing what you like.

Cook Island language week

Yesterday, my class made lei wristbands, necklaces, and headbands using fake flowers and straws. They were fun for me to make and kind of hard, Mr.Sok took this photo near home time.  I had a lot of fun, being at home is better though.

St.Johns

Yesterday we went to the hall to wait for Rachel from St. Johns. I learnt how to wrap someones hand in a bandage if they slice their hand. Also to make them lie down with their hand up so the blood pumping from the heart makes it harder to go up, because if they're standing up the blood pumping from their heart will spill and they could become unconscious from blood loss. I also learnt how to help a person if their unconscious and breathing, she said to check their airways and if they vomit to make them go on their side, or to use your hand to scoop their vomit out so they don't choke on their vomit. Rachel also told us about DRSAB at the start of the lesson.
This is what DRSAB stands for
D- Danger
   R- Response
         S- Send for help
 A- Airways
B-Breathing

Everyone in the class got a certificate!

Little Bo Peep's farm

Rm 6 went to Bo Peep's farm, we learn about the characteristics of the animals. We got to feed some of the animals like the goat, the sheep and the llamas. My favourite animal there was the goat, the horns were cool and it was soft. The eyes of the goat were really cool too! The Llamas were black and white.
There was a donkey, pony, bunny, and baby alpaca/llama if I remember. We asked the woman who takes care of them questions at the end.

Showing Integrity

 Integrity

It looks like doing the right thing a the right time.

At school, integrity looks like picking rubbish even if it isn't yours.

  • Bringing your chrome book at school charged, and being clean.
  • Listening to your teacher.
  • picking others up.
  • Filling others buckets.
  • Not lying to your teacher.
  • Not eating lollies during class
  • Not doing something for others but yourself.

At home integrity looks like not talking back to your parents.
    • Trusting your family members. (except if they do family harm or abuse)
    • Doing the right thing when parents tell you to do something
    • Helping your siblings if they are stuck on work
    • Being honest with your parents if they catch you doing something.
    • Cheer them up whenever they are in the blue zone or is gloomy
